TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County deputies are looking for a second suspect concerned in a strategic Uber theft, kidnapping on Halloween night time.
On Tuesday, a 74-year-previous lady ordered an Uber on the Seminole Hard Rock Casino round 9 p.m. The Uber driver, Christian Kirby Noda, 21, picked up the victim to drive her again to her residence. Noda, of Orlando, advised the victim he wanted to examine the air of his car’s tires and stopped at a Shell fuel station off of Highway 301, in Tampa.
Deputies say that whereas Noda was attending to his car, a masked black male approached the car and advised the victim, who was seated in the correct entrance passenger seat, to exit the car and get again into the backseat.
The victim, who was in worry of her life, complied and sat within the backseat, in accordance with deputies. Noda informed the victim, “do what he says, he has a gun” and sat within the driver’s seat.
Deputies say that at the moment, the unknown black male ordered Noda to drive the car to a number of banks and withdraw cash from the victim’s debit card whereas the unknown black male eliminated two 5 hundred greenback poker chips from the victim’s purse.
The unknown male and Noda drove the victim to a Speedway Gas Station in Dover and ordered her to exit the car. Deputies say that Noda and the unknown male switched seats and the unknown male drove the car away.
Deputies decided that the victim’s debit card was utilized in a number of places in Polk and Osceola Counties.
Upon interviewing Noda throughout a non-custodial interview, he advised he was not a victim, however that he truly had deliberate to rob an Uber passenger. He said that he particularly drove to Tampa from Orlando to discover a passenger.
