A self-driving Uber car was involved in a 3-automotive crash in Tempe on Friday,although police stated the Uber car was not at fault.

Photos of the scene posted on Facebook Friday make it seem the Uber was rear-ended.

The crash occurred at 1 p.m. close to Apache and Terrace, southeast of the Arizona State University campus and close to the sunshine rail, in line with Tempe police spokesman Ron Elcock.

“It is believed that the Uber was in self-driving mode at the time,” he stated, including that the driver and again-seat passenger weren’t injured nor was the Uber driver cited.
