Cycling activist says he was assaulted by Uber driver in Southeast Portland – OregonLive.com


A Southeast Portland bike owner was reportedly assaulted by an Uber driver after the 2 exchanged phrases when the motorist sped previous him Thursday morning.

KATU reviews that Paul Jeffery suffered a concussion in the incident, which passed off close to Southeast 34th Avenue and Salmon Street. Jeffery shouted on the Uber driver, who the biking advocate stated had sped “dangerously” previous him.

The driver received out of the automotive and pinned Jeffery towards one other car, then started punching him in the top.

Jeffery referred to as the police and described the alleged assailant as a white man in his 30s. He additionally stated the car was a black late-mannequin Mazda three with Oregon license plates that contained the numbers 1-6-1 and perhaps the letter “J.”

This is not the primary time Jeffery has had a run-in with an Uber driver.

Last summer time, he was assaulted by a lady contracted by the corporate after she reportedly drove close enough to him that his hand grazed her passenger-side mirror as he rode his bike, in line with Bike Portland.
