An Uber driver was driving drunk when he struck one other car in Maynard on Wednesday, police stated.
Jachson D. Cardosa, 53, hit a automotive on Summer Street at three:30 p.m. and fled the world, police stated. He was discovered a short while later and brought into custody.
Cardosa, of Framingham, was driving for Uber on the time of the crash. He didn’t have a passenger within the automotive, police stated.
“Uber has a zero tolerance policy on drugs and alcohol. The driver was immediately banned from using the app,” Uber stated in a press release.
Cardosa appeared in courtroom Thursday to face drunken driving expenses.
