An Uber driver fought off two men attempting to carjack him early Wednesday in Chicago’s South Loop.

The tried carjacking occurred close to 820 South Michigan Avenue at about three a.m. Haider Abbas was parked in entrance of a Columbia College constructing taking a cigarette break and ready for his subsequent passenger when he observed a automotive pull up behind him and park.

One man caught a gun inside his open window and pointed it at Abbas’ head, Abbas stated.

“I see the guy coming at me…put the gun right in my face and said get out of the car right now,” he stated.

“I looked at him, hit him, tried to snatch his gun out of his hand,” stated Abbas.

With his different hand, Abbas stated he managed to begin his automotive. After that, Abbas backed up and received away. He began following the suspect’s automotive whereas he dialed 911, decided not to again down, he stated.
