Uber driver accused of groping passenger during ride | NJ.com – NJ.com


PRINCETON – Police are investigating after a lady reported she was sexually touched by an Uber driver during a visit from Pennsylvania to Princeton final week, police stated.

The 21-year-previous New York lady referred to as from Olden Street round 11:45 p.m. on Saturday to report the incident, Princeton police stated.

The lady informed police that she had taken the ride service to go to her good friend in Princeton and the driver of the Uber inappropriately touched her sooner or later during the journey. Police didn’t know whether or not the alleged touching occurred in Princeton.

The lady referred to as police after she obtained out of the automotive, police stated. Officers haven’t  but recognized or charged the driver.

A spokeswoman from Uber stated that the driver has been banned from utilizing the app or driving for the corporate pending the police investigation. 

She added that, if true, the allegations towards the driver are in clear violation of Uber’s insurance policies and guidelines
