PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — A man was arrested after police say he carjacked an Uber driver in Port St. Lucie after which robbed one other sufferer at an ATM.
An Uber driver was choosing up a fare at Cashmere Corner in the 800 block of St. Lucie West Boulevard on Monday night time, simply earlier than midnight.
According to Port St. Lucie police, Eric Alan Thompson, 31, approached the Uber driver and ordered him out of the automotive at gunpoint. Police say Thompson was sporting a black bandana overlaying the decrease portion of his face.
The driver exited the automotive and Thompson jumped in and fled.
Police say Thompson then drove the car to Chase Bank in the 1700 block of NW St. Lucie West Boulevard, the place he pulled as much as a man at an ATM and robbed him at gunpoint.
Police say Thompson stole roughly $50 from the sufferer after which fled in the stolen automotive.
